En 3000 a.C. se pintó en una pared del palacio de Knosos una expresión cultural y religiosa; por el carácter sagrado del Toro, un símbolo de enorme fortaleza y fecundidad. El toro era atraído para embestir al joven, quien en el ultimo instante saltaba, se apoyaba en el morrillo o los cuernos y saltaba sobre el animal; y así la fuerza y fecunbdidad del toro se transmitía al joven. Es la imagen más antigua de una corrida de toros.

In 3000 B.C. a cultural and religious expression was painted on a wall of knosos palace; religious for the sacred character of the Bull, a symbol of enormous strength and fecundity. The bull was attracted to ram the young man, who at the last moment jumped, leaned on the the horns and jumped on the animal; and thus the strength and fecunbdity of the bull was transmitted to the young man. It is the oldest image of a bullfight.
